QLA has been organizing coaching support for members and clubs over the last 20 years. – Recently we have been focusing on coordinating coaching for clubs with nil or limited coaching staff (as opposed to instructors) on an as-requested basis.

In the last year we have organized multiple day events at BSS, HYC and in process at LCYC/NRRC. – We have also run a series of on-line 1hr coaching clinics over 5 nights specifically targeting NQ members but open to others.

We are now looking to expand NQ assistance with a targeted programme of on-water coaching over the coming year. The focus is at club and intermediate level sailors and not High Performance.

The QLA will run two day camps over a weekend mutually acceptable to club and coach. There will be initial screening of attendees to determine camp content and focus required. – Focus can be tailored to base skills, introductory racing, or more advance racing skills and tactics as required.

The QLA is committed to subsidising these coaching clinics but is also looking for Clubs to also commit to providing some support.  There will be a participant cost.
